Susanna Martin

Susanna was born in 1841 in Newton-on-Ayr.^1 2   Susanna's father was John Martin and her mother was Margaret Shaw.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Mary Eaglesham-Smith. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William, Mary, Isabella, Helen, Susanna and Jane.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 71 in 1912 in Ayr.
