William George BROWN

- Birth date from 1851 census and BMD. Incomplete ref from BMD. Ref:- Whitby 24 5** June 1/4 1846 At the time of the 1861 census William George was counted at his Grandparents in Church St along with his sister Ellen.

William's father was George BROWN and his mother was Rebecca CRAVEN. His paternal grandparents were Joseph BROWN and Eleanor STAINTHORP; his maternal grandparents were George CRAVEN and Jane HEADLAM. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Jane, Eleanor and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the six children.
