Eleanor BROWN

Eleanor was born in 1848 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.¹

- Birth. BMD ref:- Whitby 24 587 Sept 1/4 1848 At the time of the 1861 census Ellen was counted at her Grandparents house in Church St along with her brother William George.

Eleanor's father was George BROWN and her mother was Rebecca CRAVEN. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph BROWN and Eleanor STAINTHORP; her maternal grandparents were George CRAVEN and Jane HEADLAM. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Joseph, Jane and Rebecca. She was the third oldest of the six children.
