Joseph A. Whiteman 
Joseph A. was born about 1857. Joseph A.'s father was David Waldo Whiteman and his mother was Martha Jane Bryant. His maternal grandparents were Solomon George Bryant and Lavinia Roberts. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, Raymond Robert, Alexander C., John Steven, Mahala "Mahalie" Ann, Martha Jane (twin), Mary (twin), Susan Melinda and Matilda "Tillie". He was the second youngest of the ten children.General Notes
