James Ragland

James was born in 1730 in Hannover County, Virginia, USA.¹ James' father was John Ragland and his mother was Anne Beaufort. His maternal grandparents were John Beaufort and Katherine Swinford. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, John, William, Edward, Evan, Pettus, Thomas, Martha, Frances, Mary, Anne, Sarah and Susanna.²
