John's baptism took place on May 12th, 1764 in North Bradley.1  John's father was James Aven and his mother was Rachel Read.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Avon and Betty. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, James, William, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Mary.
