James' baptism took place on September 26th, 1742 in North Bradley.1  James' father was Edward Avon and his mother was Betty. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John, John, James, Edward, Moses, William, John, Mary, Betty, John and Betty.  He died in 1777.  He was buried on November 23rd, 1777 in North Bradley.2
