John's baptism took place on April 16th, 1738 in North Bradley.1  John's father was Edward Avon and his mother was Betty. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John, James, James, Edward, Moses, William, John, Mary, Betty, John and Betty.  He died in 1740.  The funeral took place on September 30th, 1740 in North Bradley.2
