Fred. was born in 1858 in Leeds.1  Fred.'s father was Richard Rollisson and his mother was Sophia Marshall Hemingway.  His paternal grandparents were William Rollisson and Mary Pickersgill; his maternal grandparents were John Hemingway and Ellen Marshall. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Alfred, William, Ellen, Ann and Sarah.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
