Anne was born on April 7th, 1848 in Trowbridge.1  Anne's father was William Gibson and her mother was Elizabeth Lucas.  Her maternal grandparents were William Lucas and Martha Gray. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, George, Hugh, Job, William, Mary and Emma.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 50 in 1898.2
