Thomas Philippus Winterbach

Thomas was born on October 15th, 1893 in Tulbagh and his baptism took place on December 3rd, 1893 in Tulbagh, Cape Of Good Hope, RSA.¹   Thomas' father was Thomas Philippus Winterbach and his mother was Johanna Elizabeth Lotz.  His paternal grandparents were ? Winterbach and Magdalena ?. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Petrus, Willem, Willem, Daniël, Nicolaas, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Johanna, Dorathea, Jacoba, Aletta and Jacoba.  Petrus and Thomas were twins.  He died at the age of 49 on March 2nd, 1943 in Maitland.  He was buried on March 4th, 1943 in Ottery Road Cemetery, Cape Town.^2 3
