Jacoba was born on April 15th, 1908 in Tulbagh, Cape Of Good Hope, South Africa and her baptism took place on June 2nd, 1908 in NG Kerk, Tulbagh conducted by Reverend .1   Jacoba's father was Thomas Philippus Winterbach and her mother is Johanna Elizabeth Lotz. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Petrus, Willem, Willem, Daniël, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Johanna, Dorothea, Jacoba and Aletta.  She was the youngest of the eleven children.  Jacoba is no longer alive.
