Jacoba was born on April 15th, 1908 in Tulbagh, Cape Of Good Hope, South Africa and her baptism took place on June 2nd, 1908 in NG Kerk, Tulbagh conducted by the reverend.1   Jacoba's father was Thomas Philippus Winterbach and her mother was Johanna Elizabeth Lotz.  Her paternal grandparents were ? Winterbach and Magdalena ?. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Petrus, Thomas, Willem, Willem, Daniël, Nicolaas, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Johanna, Dorathea, Jacoba and Aletta.  She died at the age of 71 on October 15th, 1979.  She was buried in Agter-Paarl.2
