Johannes Andreas Petrus “Don” Winterbach

Johannes, known as Don, was born on July 18th, 1928.  Don's father was Tobias Johannes Winterbach and his mother was Susanna Philippina Louw.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrik Pieter Winterbach and Sara Adriana du Plessis. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Hendrik, Boetie, Gawie, Hennie, Sussie, Sarie, Wies, Dollie, Kitty and Gerty.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died due to a medical problem, Polio, at the age of 13 on June 30th, 1942.
