Maria Victoria was born on November 19th, 1815 in Pael.1   Maria Victoria's father was Henry Ariën and her mother was Anna Maria Gaethofs.  Her paternal grandfather was Gerard Ariën and her paternal grandmother is Anna Maria Vanzonhoven; her maternal grandparents were Petrus (Pierre) Gaethofs and Maria Schaenen (Schraenen).  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Petrus Ludovicus, Petrus, Maria Carolina, Maria Joseph, Angelica and Maria Scholostia.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 69 on April 10th, 1885 in Lummen.2
