David was born in 1144 in Huntington, Huntingtonshire, Scotland.1   David's father was Prince, Earl of Huntington Henry Caenmore of Scotland and his mother was Ada De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were King David (The Saint) Dunkeld of Scots I and Matilda of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William De Warren II and Isabel (Elizabeth) De Crepi. He had a brother and three sisters, named The Lion, Ada, Majory and Margaret. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Gilbert and Avice.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219 in Jedelay, Roxburghshire, Scotland.1 

David's first family with Maud Chester

David and Maud were married on August 26th, 1190 in Scotland.2   They had three daughters named Isabella, Margaret and Ada.


David's second family with Isabel de Meschines

They had a son and two daughters, named Henry, Margaret and Isabel.
