Ann was born in 1036 in Kiev, Ukraine.1   Ann's father was Grand Prince of Kiev Jaroslav Rurik of Kiev I and her mother was Ingigerd Olafsdottir.  Her paternal grandparents were Saint, Prince, Grand Duke Vladimir (The Great) Rurik of Kiev and Rogneda Of Polotsk; her maternal grandparents were King of Sweden Olaf (Skotkonung) Eriksson III and Astrid of the Obotrites. She had four brothers and a sister, named Vladimir, Izyaslav, Svyatopolk, Vsevolod and Anastasiya.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died about 1076 in France.  Her burial was in Abbaye De Villiers, La-Ferte-Alais, France.2 1
