King of Sweden Olaf (Skotkonung) Eriksson III

Olaf, known as Skotkonung, was born about 0950 in Sweden.¹ Skotkonung's father was Erik Bjornsson VI and his mother was Sigrid (The Haughty) Storrada Skoglar-Testedot. His paternal grandparents were King of Uppsala Bjorn (The Old) Eriksson and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Skogul-Tosti and <Unknown>. He had two half-sisters named Estrid and Svantoslava. He died in 1022.¹

General Notes
- Olof of Sweden, Olof Skötkonung or Skautkonung, the first Christian king in Sweden, reigns between 995 and 1022. He was baptized in Husaby, Götaland in 1008. His father Eric the Victorious, is said to have been baptized, but later when returning to the Svealand kingdom fell back to heathen customs, worshipping the ancient Asa gods. He married Estrid of the Obotrites, better known as Queen Ingrid.
