Jesse Skaggs

Jesse was born in July 1812 in Hardin County, Kentucky.¹ Jesse's father was James Skaggs and his mother was Hannah Holbrook. His paternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Berry (Nannie) Skaggs. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Henry, Stephen, James, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 53 in October 1865.²
