Elizabeth Skaggs

Elizabeth was born in 1810 in Halifax County, Virginia.¹ Elizabeth's father was James Skaggs and her mother was Hannah Holbrook. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Berry (Nannie) Skaggs. She had five brothers and a sister, named George, Henry, Jesse, Stephen, James and Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
