Henry Benton Skaggs

Henry was born in 1802 in Hart County, Kentucky.¹ Henry's father was James Skaggs and his mother was Hannah Holbrook. His paternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Berry (Nannie) Skaggs. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Jesse, Stephen, James, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
