Valentine McGrew

Valentine was born about 1824 in Grayson County, Kentucky.¹ Valentine's father was Reed McGrew and his mother was Mary (Polly) Fulkerson. His paternal grandparents were Robert McGrew and Dorothy Graham; his maternal grandparents were John Fulkerson and Margaret Bruner. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Willis, Parmenas, Andrew, Oliver, James, Sarah, Elmina, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the twelfth oldest of the thirteen children.
