John Fulkerson McGrew

John was born on May 13th, 1805 in Ohio County, Kentucky.¹ John's father was Reed McGrew and his mother was Mary (Polly) Fulkerson. His paternal grandparents were Robert McGrew and Dorothy Graham; his maternal grandparents were John Fulkerson and Margaret Bruner. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Willis, Parmenas, Andrew, Oliver, James, Valentine, Sarah, Elmina, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children.
