William Crume 
William was born on April 2nd, 1764 in Frederick Co., Virginia.1 William's father was Phillip Daniel Crume and his mother was Sarah Margaret Withers/Weathers. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Crume (Croome) and Elizabeth Brooks; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Withers and Patience/Margaret. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Phillip, Daniel, Jesse, Moses, Isaac, Eunice, Susanna, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Squire, Margaret, Nancy and Keziah.-
