Ashley Johnson Nance

Ashley Johnson was born on March 21st, 1888 in Greenville, Davidson Co, TN.¹ Ashley Johnson's father was Addison Toplady Nance and his mother was Mary A. Cobb. His paternal grandparents were Fountaine Nance and Jemina Vincent Grant. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Fountain, James Crawford, George Lindsey, Archibald Addison 'Archie', Delaware W. 'Dell', Mary Belle, Maggie Lou, Mattie Matilda and Jesse May. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 77 in February 1966 in Norfolk, Norfolk City, VA.
