Lewis Hays Holmes

Lewis Hays was born on June 9th, 1898 in McLean Co, KY. Lewis Hays' father was John Eli Holmes and his mother was Emily 'Emma' J. Higgs. His maternal grandparents were Moody C. Higgs and Nancy Jane Decker. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Ernest Ward, Jacob O., James C., Clyde, Sherman Vick, Mary C. and Fannie Myrtle. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 on December 4th, 1981 in Summit Co, OH.
