James de Shirley

James was born in 1248 in Shirley, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England.¹ James' father was James de Shirley and his mother was Agnes de Walton. His paternal grandparents were Sewallis de Shirley and Isabell Meysnyll; his maternal grandparents were Simon de Walton and <Unknown>. He had three brothers named Simon, Ralph and Henry. He was the second oldest of the four children.
