Melinda Jared

Melinda was born on August 10th, 1844 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹ Melinda's father was Mayson Jared and her mother was Polly Dowell. Her maternal grandparents were Elijah Dowell and Jemima Board. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Saloy, James, Joel, William, Israel, John, Clayton, Eliza, Mary, Letitia, Amanda, Sarah, Safrona and Mirian. She was the nineth oldest of the fifteen children.
