Israel Jared

Israel was born on September 9th, 1840 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹ Israel's father was Mayson Jared and his mother was Polly Dowell. His maternal grandparents were Elijah Dowell and Jemima Board. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named Saloy, James, Joel, William, John, Clayton, Eliza, Mary, Letitia, Melinda, Amanda, Sarah, Safrona and Mirian. He was the seventh oldest of the fifteen children.
