Amanda Jared

Amanda was born on July 6th, 1847 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹ Amanda's father was Mayson Jared and her mother was Polly Dowell. Her maternal grandparents were Elijah Dowell and Jemima Board. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Saloy, James, Joel, William, Israel, John, Clayton, Eliza, Mary, Letitia, Melinda, Sarah, Safrona and Mirian. She was the eleventh oldest of the fifteen children.
