Mathew Scoular 
Mathew was born on June 17th, 1841 in Galston, Ayr, Scotland. Mathew's father was Robert Scoular and his mother was Helen Donald. His paternal grandparents were Robert Scoular and Annabella Lauchlan; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Donald and Janet Brown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Thomas James, George, James Donald, Janet, Anabella and Helen. He is the third youngest of the eight children.-
