Mary Elizabeth McCurdy 
Mary Elizabeth was born on September 26th, 1844 in Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Mary Elizabeth's father was Robert McCurdy and her mother was Mary Sanborn Morgan. Her maternal grandparents were Jr. Morgan David and Polly Andres Colby. She had five brothers and a sister, named Laurandus, Matthew, Lyra, Frank, Willie and Theresa Marion. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 91 on September 15th, 1936.General Notes
Her husband proved to be a man of wonderful villainy, and a divorce wasgranted in 1870. She was matron of the Iowa Institution for the Education of the Deaf and Dumb for several years.
