Lyra McCurdy 
Lyra was born on September 15th, 1848 in Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Lyra's father was Robert McCurdy and his mother was Mary Sanborn Morgan. His maternal grandparents were Jr. Morgan David and Polly Andres Colby. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Laurandus, Matthew, Frank, Willie, Mary Elizabeth and Theresa Marion. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 60 on March 15th, 1909 in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota.-
