Fifth Earl of Menteith (de jure was born in Dundonald, Ayshire, Scotland.  Fifth Earl of Menteith (de jure's father was Walter I Stewart and his mother was Beatrix Douglas.  His paternal grandparents were Alan le Steward and Margaret de Galloway; his maternal grandparents were Gilchrist Douglas De Angus and Marjory of Huntingdon. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, John, Eupheme, Elizabeth, Margaret and Daughter.  He died before April 28th, 1296 in Inchmoh Island, Loch Rusky, Stirling, Scotland.  He was buried in Inchmahome Priory, Menteith.
