Charley or Clive was born on March 28th, 1907 in Persimmon, Rabun County, Georgia.  Charley or Clive's father was James Joseph York and his mother was Ida Hasseltine Seay.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Bowens York and Mary M. James; his maternal grandparents were William Osborn Seay and Mellvina C. (on 1880 Census). He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Edward Glen, Ralph Grover, Fred L., Winford Earl, Chili or Chillie Viola, Marta or Myrda A., Rachel M., Birdie, Katherine M., Lula Pearl, Ida Belle and Berda Nell.  He died  due to Pulmonary Embolism, Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease at the age of 69 on November 21st, 1976 in 6:00 am, Community Hospital of the Palm Beaches, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida.  He was buried on November 23rd, 1976 in Port Mayaca Cemetary, Lot #611, Block B, Martin County, FL.1

‌Charley or Clive and Fannie Irene were married in a religious ceremony on January 16th, 1936 in Franklin, Macon, NC.2   They had three daughters named Joan, Living and Living.
