Euphemia (Effie) *Black 
Euphemia, known as Effie, was born about 1776 in Moore County,North Carolina. Effie's father was Kenneth Black and her mother was Catherine (Kate) Patterson. Her paternal grandfather was Malcolm Black and her paternal grandmother is Catherine Mac Arthur; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm Patterson and Catherine Unknown. She had four brothers and a sister, named Archibald K., John, Hugh, Malcolm and Margaret. She was the youngest of the six children. She died in 1850 in Moore County,North Carolina.General Notes
