Archibald K. was born in 1760 in Rockfish Creek,Cumberland Co.,NC.1 Archibald K.'s father was Kenneth Black and his mother was Catherine (Kate) Patterson. His paternal grandfather was Malcolm Black and his paternal grandmother is Catherine Mac Arthur; his maternal grandparents were Malcolm Patterson and Catherine Unknown. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Hugh, Malcolm, Margaret and Effie. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 78 in 1838 in Eastwood,Moore County,NC. He was buried in Kenneth Black Cemetery,Moore County,NC.1 -
