Emma was born on April 25th, 1864 in Atlanta,Baker Co.,GA.1   Emma's father was Johnathan H. (John) Black and her mother was Mary Ann Jordan.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter J. Black and Mary Griggs; her maternal grandparents were Nathan Pinckney Jordan Jr. and Mary Motes. She had two brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph Lee, Charlie, Georgia M., Ninnie Rebecca, Maggie B. and M. F..  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 77 on April 6th, 1942 in Wills Point,Van Zandt Co.,TX.  She was buried on April 7th, 1942 in Cana Cemetery,Wills Point,TX.1 


Emma's family with John T. Sabe Priest

‌Emma and John T. Sabe were married in a religious ceremony on October 2nd, 1884.1   They had three sons and a daughter, named Earl Marlasis, John Lee, Dennis and UNKNOWN.
