Charles Bryon, known as Charlie, was born in March 1874 in Kaufman Co.,TX.1 Charlie's father was Johnathan H. (John) Black and his mother was Mary Ann Jordan. His paternal grandparents were Peter J. Black and Mary Griggs; his maternal grandparents were Nathan Pinckney Jordan Jr. and Mary Motes. He had a brother and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph Lee, Georgia M., Ninnie Rebecca, Maggie B., Emma and M. F.. He is the youngest of the seven children.-
