John Shirley 
John was born in 1671 in St Stephens, Northumberland, VA, USA.1 John's father was Thomas Shirley. His paternal grandfather was Robert Shirley. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Richard, Thomas, John, Phebus, John, James, Joseph, Newman, Phebee, Mary, Ann, Grace, Argeland and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 67 in 1738 in St Stephens, Northumberland, VA, USA.1
