Alice was born in 1137 in Arundel Castle,Arundel,West Sussex,England.  Alice's father was William Stronghand d'Aubigny Earl of Arundel, Lincoln and Sussex and her mother was Adeliza De Brabant [Queen 0f England].  Her paternal grandparents were William de Albini d'Aubigny Pincerna and Maud Le Bigod; her maternal grandparents were " Barbatus the Bearded" Duke of Lorraine, Count of Leuven and Brabant, Duke of Lower Lotharingen Godfrey I and Countess Of Namur Clementia. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William II le Breton, Godfrey, Simon Pincerna, Reynor, Henry, Olivia, Matilda and Agatha.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 51 on September 11th, 1188.  She was buried in Foucarmont Abbey.
