His paternal grandparents were Jan Pietersen (Slot) Sloat Immigrant, Founder and Aeltie (Annetie?) Jans; his maternal grandfather was Jacobse Wallings van Winkle Immigrant and his maternal grandmother is Tryntje (Catherine) Jacobs. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan Pietersen (Slot), Jonas (Slot), Tryntie (Slot), Annetie (Slot) and Abeltie (Slot). He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 56 in 1725 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., Nj.2 -
