His paternal grandfather was Count of Maasgau Giselbert II and his paternal grandmother is Princess of Lorraine Ermengarde; his maternal grandparents were "The Bald" Holy Roman Emperor Charles II and Of Orleans & Engeltrude, Frankish Queen of France Ermentrude. He had a brother named Regnier II Count of. He was the younger of the two children. He had three half-sisters named of France, Symphorienne of Lorraine & and Alberade of. He died on October 2nd, 0939 in Rhine River, near Andernach, Prussia. He was buried in October 0939.2 2 General Notes
