III "the Short" King of the Franks was born in Austrasia.1   III "the Short" King of the Franks' father was King Duke of the Franks Charles "The Hammer" Martel, Duke of the Franks and his mother was Duchess Duchess of Austrasia Rotrude.  His paternal grandparents were Duke/Mayor "The Fat" Of Austrasia Pepin II and Concubine Alpais (Chalpaida) of Metz; his maternal grandfather was Saint Lievin of Poitiers Bishop of Trier and his maternal grandmother is Willigarde of Haspengau. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Mayor of the Palace Grifo, Carloman, Landree, Aude, of Francia of Austrasia and Gisele. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Carloman, Heironymous, Living, Auda and Grifon (Grifo).  He died on September 24th, 0768 in St. Denis, Paris, France.  He was buried in September 0768 in Abby of St.Denis, Paris, France.2 2
