John Giffard 
John was born about 1535 in Of, Boreham, Essex, England. John's father was Thomas Giffard and his mother was Ursula Throckmorton. His paternal grandparents were Sir John Giffard Knight and Jane Hoord. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, Humphrey, Robert, George, Dorothy, Isabell, Elizabeth, Lucy, Cassandra, Anne and Mary. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He had two half-sisters named Alice and Elizabeth. He died before October 24th, 1601.-
