Robert Count was born in 1035 in Normandy.1 Robert Count's father was Herluin de Conteville Viscount Conteville and his mother was Harlette De Falaise Countess of Mortaigne. His paternal grandparents were de Tonsburgh Earl of Comyn John de Bourg and Mrs. Jean De Conteville; his maternal grandparents were Fulbert 'The Tanner' De Falaise and Doda De Falaise. He had ten brothers and twelve sisters, named Andre, Seigneur de Vitre, Eudes \ Odo Bishop Of, Odo Bishop of, Odo de, Odo, Robert Count De, Robert, Count de Mortaigne, Count Robert, Robert de Mortaigne Earl of, Eudes de, Maude de, Emma, Oda (Eudes), Muriel de, Emma de, Isabella de, <Unnamed>, Mathilde de, Mathilde, Muriel, Muriel and Miss de. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ralph Count of, "The Conqueror" King of England, Richard Fitz Gilbert, Baldwin Fitz-Gilbert of, Osbern, Adelaide Countess of, Emma and Anna. He died at the age of 58 on December 8th, 1093 in France. He was buried in Grestain.1 1 General Notes
