Maud was born after 1050 in Of, Mortaigne, S-Mnch, France. Maud's father was Roger De Montgomery Earl of Shrewsburg and her mother was Mabel Talvas Countess of Shrewbury. Her paternal grandparents were Roger De Montgomery Vicomte d'Hiemois and Josceline De Ponteaudeme; her maternal grandparents were William II Talvas Prince of Belleme and Hildeburge de Beaumont. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Phillip, Robert II, Arnulf, Mabel and Sibyl. She was the oldest of the six children. She had three half-brothers named Roger De Poitou, Hugh and Robert II [De Talvas]. She died about 1085. She was buried in Abbey of Grestain.1 1 -
