Idonea was born about 1300 in Of, Appleby Castle, Appleby, Westmorland, England.1   Idonea's father was Robert De Clifford and her mother was Maud De Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger De Clifford and Isabel De Vipount; her maternal grandparents were Thomas De Clare and Juliane Fitzmaurice. She had a sister named Idonea.  She was the older of the two children.  She died on August 24th, 1365.  She was buried in Beverley Minster, Beverley, Yorkshire, England.1 1
