Hugh Gordon PHILLIPS 
Hugh Gordon was born on August 9th, 1850 in Southampton Par., York, N-Br. Hugh Gordon's father was George MATHEW Dow PHILLIPS and his mother was Elizabeth PHILLIPS. His paternal grandparents were David PHILLIPS and Hannah Elizabeth Dow; his maternal grandparents are Robert PHILLIPS and Elizabeth LIDECK. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Frederick, Robert LEE, MATHEW Whitmer, Hannah Eliza, Louise Adelaid, Delia Ann and Francis Helen. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 4 on June 22nd, 1855.-
