William I The Lion was born in 1143 in , , , Scotland.  William I The Lion's father was Henry Of Huntingdon Earl and his mother was Ada (Adelaide) De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I Of Scotland King and Matilda (Maud) Of Huntingdon Queen; his maternal grandparents were William Of Surrey De Warenne II Earl and Isabel Of Leicester De Vermandois Countess. He had a brother and three sisters, named David, Margaret (Marjory), Isabel and Ada.  He died at the age of 71 on December 4th, 1214.  He was buried in 1214.
