Ada (Adelaide) was born about 1120 in , , Surrey, England.  Ada (Adelaide)'s father was William Of Surrey De Warenne II Earl and her mother was Isabel Of Leicester De Vermandois Countess.  Her paternal grandparents were William Of Surrey De Warenne Earl and Gundred Of England Princess; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Of Vermandois De Crepi Count and Adelaide De Vermandois Countess. She had two brothers and a sister, named Reginald, William De Warren and Gundred.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Valeran II, Robert II De Beaumont, Elizabeth (Isabel) and Maud.  She died in 1178.  She was buried in 1178.

‌Ada (Adelaide) and Henry were married in a religious ceremony about 1139.  They had two sons and three daughters, named William I The Lion, David, Margaret (Marjory), Isabel and Ada.
